Update: It’s available now!

If you updated to Firmware version 2.0 on the PlayStation 4, then you’ve probably run into problems with the new YouTube functionality, getting the long-awaited Share Play function to work right or with the big one: The Rest Mode causing your system to get stuck in standby and forcing a hard reset or unplugging of the system to get it to turn back on.

Now, Sony is addressing these issues with a new update, 2.01. According to several online gaming sites, this new update is available today now.

We’ll update this post with more information and to alert our readers when the update is available for download. In the meantime, use the PS4’s “off” functionality in order to avoid hard resets or worse, bricking your shiny, expensive console.
