Sony officially announces ‘Vote to Play’ program for PS Plus subscribers

Members of Sony’s premium service will now be able to vote for which games come to the Instant Game Collection

Sony announced via its PlayStation Blog that starting soon, gamers who subscribe to its PlayStation Plus service will be able to vote for one of the games in the next month’s offering.

“Vote to Play” will allow a vote from a list of several games and the winning title will become part of the free games the following month. This is limited to PlayStation 4 games, according to the blog post. For the first month of the promotion, the games that don’t win will be offered at discounted prices to PlayStation Plus members.

“We love to listen to our fans – and we’re super excited to launch this promotion,” said VP of Platform Marketing for SCEA John Koller in the post.

Sony says more details, along with the list of games and a link to the voting page, presumably, are coming soon.
