Sony’s two-day game conference becomes an annual event, Sac City Gamer will have the details as they unfold

Today on the PlayStation Blog, Sony’s Sid Shuman, Senior Manager of Social Media, announced that the PlayStation Experience will return this year. The event will be held in San Francisco, CA on December 5 and 6.

Last year’s event was a huge success and Sac City Gamer will once again be covering the announcements, previews and other details of the conference as they happen.

According to Shuman, Sony has responded to fans by lowering ticket prices.

“We’ve also heard your feedback regarding ticket prices, and I’m happy to announce that we’ve been able to make PlayStation Experience a little more affordable for 2015. Early birds who register before September 20 will get a discounted rate of $60 for the full two-day pass, while supplies last. After September 20, regular two-day tickets will go for $75, with one-day passes going for $45 (Saturday only) and $40 (Sunday only),” said Shuman on the blog post.

Shuman also announced that the event will feature a Street Fighter tournament.

“For all you Street Fighter fans out there, the Capcom Cup will be held at PlayStation Experience this year as a one-day special event open to all attendees on Sunday, December 6,” said the blog post. “As the final culmination of the 2015 Capcom Pro Tour, the official Street Fighter eSports league, the Capcom Cup will feature 32 of the world’s best players competing for the title of “Street Fighter World Champion” and a shot at the massive $250,000 prize pool.”

For more details, including information about the VIP package, on the Capcom Cup, see the PlayStation Blog.

Sony is encouraging those who register for the event to sign up using their PSN names, but what this is for has not been disclosed. We’re guessing it’ll have something to do with prizes or something along those lines.

Stay tuned to Sac City Gamer for more information on the PlayStation Experience in the coming months and don’t forget to grab your tickets for the event!
