PlayStation Experience 2015 Keynote coverage (Update)

It’s time for Sony’s big event and we’ve got all of the information you crave, right here in one place. Follow along with us if you’re unable to watch the broadcast.

Or even if you are, follow along anyway.

Sony has already begun with the big announcements, letting the  world know yesterday that PS2 classics will be available on PS4 starting today. The games are upscaled to 1080p, have Trophy support and work with most of PS4’s features like Share Play and live streaming.

Keep it locked throughout the broadcast, which starts right now.

New Trailers/Footage/Information: 

– Uncharted 4: New trailer (different from Game Awards trailer), confirms branching dialogue options
– Call of Duty Black Ops III: First DLC Map Pack, Awakening, available 30 days earlier than other platforms on PS4 in early 2016
– Final Fantasy VII Remake: New trailer with gameplay
– Battleborn: Randy Pitchford shares new information about couch co-op, single player campaign and multiplayer. New in-game “Toby” footage shown. PS4 players get Battleborn open beta first; beta players get a bonus character for the full game and get to try out new character, Toby (a penguin in a mech suit), before the game launches (during the beta).
– Street Fighter V: last new launch character (F.A.N.G.) revealed. Game launches 2/16/16. Six DLC characters announced, including Guile, Alex, Barlog, Ibuki, Juri, Urien. 2016 Season Pass on sale today.
– Dead Star: new game mode (capital ship run) announced, footage shown
– Adult Swim games: Death’s Gambit, Ray’s the Dead, Duck Game, Rain World, “Small Radios, Big Televisions” and Double Fine’s Head Lander coming to PS4 in 2016
– Maniac Mansion: Day of the Tentacle Remastered (Double Fine): new trailer shown; coming to Vita and PS4 March 2016
– Full Throttle Remastered coming to PS4 and Vita from Double Fine
– Psychonauts In the Rhombus of Ruin coming to PlayStation VR
– Invisible Inc. coming to PS4 in 2016, teaser shown
– Don’t Starve Together: making console debut on PS4, new footage shown
– Zodiac Orcanon Odyssey: new RPG coming first to PS4, teaser shown
– Hitman Go coming to PS4 and Vita
– Brawlhalla coming to PlayStation, playable at PlayStation Experience
– Yakuza 5 comes to PS3 December 8 (western release)
– Yakuza Zero coming to the west on PS4
– The Last Blade 2 coming to PS4 and Vita
– King of Fighters XIV coming to PS4 with console exclusivity
– Ni-oh (Team Ninja) coming exclusively to PS4
– Bastion for Vita out today, launching for $2.99 with crossbuy
– The Bit.Trip launching today on PS4 and Vita for $9.99, free for PlayStation Experience attendees
– Nuclear Throne launching today on PS4 and Vita, free for PlayStation Experience attendees
– Brutal: new game coming to PS4, teaser shown
– MLB The Show 16: Pre-alpha footage shown
– Guns Up!: new strategy game from Sony San Diego announced, free-to-play on PlayStation starting today; PS Plus members get free DLC pack
– Fat Princess Adventures: new 4 player online co-op game announced for PS4, available today; if you purchase before December 15, you get a DLC pack free. PS Plus members also get a discount.
– Ratchet & Clank (upcoming PS4 remake/reboot): new information and trailer with gameplay shown, launches April 12, 2016 on PS4 for $40
– Rez Infinite coming to PS VR, also playable with traditional controller
– A whole host of games coming to PS VR, including Classroom Aquatic, Eclipse, Distance, Eagle Flight (Ubisoft), The Modern Zombie Taxi Co. (Sony Santa Monica), Job Simulator, Golem, 100ft. Robot Golf, Ace Combat 7 (Namco-Bandai) and more
– Destiny: The Taken King: free Sparrow Racing DLC coming to PS4 Tuesday, Dec. 8, playable at PlayStation Experience
– Hob coming to PS4
– Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom coming exclusively to PS4
– Paragon: new MOBA from Epic Games coming to PlayStation; open beta coming summer 2016

Non-game Announcements: 

– PlayStation will be the official presenting partner of Call of Duty World League (esports)
– Capcam Cup starts tomorrow at PS Experience
– Ratchet & Clank movie coming to theaters April 28, 2016

Highlights: 

– Shawn Layden, President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America, is wearing a Crash Bandicoot T-shirt
– Battle of Jakku Star Wars Battlefront DLC playable at PS Experience; player highlights video shown
– Randy Pitchford is really excited, as usual
– Super cheesy announcement for Yoshinori Ono, executive producer of Street Fighter series
– Gio Corsi from Sony kicks Ono off the stage (not really, but it was funny); Corsi announces an overwhelming list of indie and third party games while wearing an awesome third party development jersey
