Interested PS4 owners can find out how to sign up to test out the next big system features
Sony announced today via its PlayStation Blog that interested PS4 gamers can sign up to test out the system’s next firmware update.
The beta will begin in early March and Sony says it will reveal the features of the new firmware update when the beta begins.
To sign up for the beta, click here and fill out a brief survey. If you’re selected to test the beta, you’ll receive an email with instructions on how to do so when the beta becomes available.
This isn’t the first time Sony has offered to allow PS4 users to test out an upcoming system update. The company did the same thing back in September for the system’s previous update. Like with that beta, testers will be able to roll back the system software at any time, in case technical issues occur, according to Sony.
John Koller, vice president of PlayStation brand marketing for SCEA, who wrote the post on the blog, encouraged interested PS4 players to join the official PlayStation forums to gain access to the beta forum and discuss the new features.
“I want to personally thank everyone who signed up for the last beta, and I hope all of you (and those who didn’t, too) will sign up again,” stated Koller in the blog post. “Don’t wait too long — we’re accepting a limited number of beta testers, so get in now before it’s too late.”
So what new features are you hoping to see in the new update? Let us know in the comments, and don’t forget to sign up to be a tester!
