April’s PlayStation and Xbox free games revealed

Check out what’s on offer for Xbox Live Gold and PlayStation Plus members in April all in one convenient place

If you haven’t already seen it, we want to make sure all of our readers are aware of our PlayStation Plus Free Games and Xbox Live Games with Gold sections here at Shortcut Gamer.

Our “More from SCG” menu features a page for each of the two subscription services. In addition to the games for the upcoming month, we’ve listed all of the previous games, so you can see what all has been offered on each program since each service’s respective debut.

For April, we’ve provided links (below) to those pages as well as the lists of games you’ll be getting during the month if you subscribe to Xbox Live Gold and/or PlayStation Plus.

Don’t forget, both Sony and Microsoft offer weekly sales, many of which have deeper discounts for subscribers, so be sure to hit up the PlayStation Blog and Major Nelson’s Xbox Blog for more information on those.

Keep in mind, too, that Xbox 360 Games with Gold are now playable on Xbox One via the backward compatibility functionality.

If you’ve yet to grab March’s games, be sure to do so. PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold titles update starting April 1.

Xbox Live Gold runs $59.99 a year and PlayStation Plus runs $49.99 a year. For more on what each service offers in addition to the monthly free games, please visit each service’s respective official web page.
