Nintendo announced that full-fledged iterations of these beloved series will hit mobile this fall

In another announcement from today’s earnings report, Nintendo revealed Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem will be getting full-fledged mobile games this fall.

“More Nintendo apps are coming to smart devices, including Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing,” said the company on its official Nintendo of America Twitter account.

According to Kotaku, Fire Emblem will be more accessible than other titles in the series while still maintaining the role-playing strategy gameplay fans have come to adore. Animal Crossing will somehow be connected to console and handheld versions of the game so that players of both can enjoy special features across the games.

Kotaku notes that in comparison to Miitomo, Nintendo’s first mobile app (which now has 10 million users), Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem will have more gameplay elements and be purely gaming apps. More information will be shared when the release of each app approaches.
