Watch the trailer for the upcoming sequel to the long-running first-person war shooter series

large.imgAccording to a live stream reveal event that took place earlier today, the next game in the Battlefield series will be Battlefield 1 and it will be set in the World War I era.

The game features weapons, vehicles and maps from the iconic first world war and allows players to step back in time and experience the infamous battles firsthand.

The trailer shows biplanes, horses and WWI era guns, tanks and more. A teaser image went viral yesterday featuring a soldier with a heavy shadow cast on his face. The trailer reveals that the shadow was from a huge Zeppelin flying above the battlefield.

The game is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on October 21, but EA Origin Access members can play it on October 18. There is also a $79.99 Deluxe Edition that includes:

  • Early Access on October 18th
  • Hellfighter Pack
  • Red Baron Pack
  • Lawrence of Arabia Pack
  • 5x Battlepacks

Pre-orders will come with the Harlem Hellfighters-themed DLC pack and seven days of early access to a new map. A beta is planned for later this year and Battlefield Insiders can get in early.
