These popular games can be played in your browser from the Google search page

Google is known for adding Easter-egg-style hidden games and other cool gems into its search engine, and now the internet’s most popular search site has added Tic-Tac-Toe and Solitaire to the mix.

If you want to play, simply type “Solitaire” or “Tic-Tac-Toe” (“Tictactoe” and “Tic Tac Toe” work as well) in the search field and the games will begin.

Tic-Tac-Toe allows players to choose “X” or “O” and you can even choose a difficulty level. There’s also an option to turn off the AI and play against a friend.

Solitaire is a little more fancy. The game pops up in its own window, has sound effects, two difficulty levels, score keeping and a timer. The only issue we ran into was clicking anywhere outside the popup window will close the game and end your current run, so you have to be careful where you click.

Both games are a lot of fun, completely free and easy to access, even at work. They also work on your phone via the Google search app. Just be careful because both are also extremely addicting!
