Nintendo and the toy company have partnered to release some very cute cars

Nintendo has teamed up with Mattel to create six new Hot Wheels toy cars in the style of some of the most iconic characters from the Mario video game series.

Cars in the style of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Bowser, Toad and Yoshi will hit stores soon, according to Mattel, which posted that the toys are on their way to stores in a response to an inquiry from a Twitter follower.

Mario and Luigi’s cars are in the style of classic racers, Peach has a sports car with gold chrome interior, Bowser’s car is a Hummer-like SUV, Toad’s looks like a jeep or a compact car and Yoshi’s is a tow truck.

All six vehicles feature recognizable designs based on the characters. For instance, Bowser’s SUV has his shell on top, Yoshi’s tow truck has a red towing mechanism to represent his tongue and Mario and Luigi’s cars sport mustaches on the front ala Lyft drivers.

Polygon has a gallery of close-up images if you’d like to see them in more detail. We’ll update this post or share  a new article as soon as we find out when and where the cars will be available, so stay tuned to SCG.
