The current look of the Steam store.

According to Kotaku, Steam developers were recently informed about a new update to the PC gaming portal’s storefront that will bring with it new visuals and will aim to better recommend titles to gamers.

The post, which was privately released to developers and then leaked on the NeoGAF message boards details some of the new features included in the refresh.

The changes include a visual refresh, sidebar navigation, a new section showing what’s popular among friends, a list of top sellers, new preferences options for users, better visibility of new releases and game updates and more options and controls for curators to help them better market their games on the storefront.

The post also points out that more changes and updates are on the way. No word on when the new refresh will go live, but it’s noted that it should roll out in a few weeks.
