The developer that also brought us Mod Nation Racers has reportedly closed its doors

Game Informer  and several other outlets are reporting that Mod Nation Racers and Sleeping Dogs developer United Front Games has closed its doors.

It’s important to note that the source of this information is a moderator at NeoGAF, who broke the news, noting that it was “starting to leak” that the studio has shut down.

The developer recently canceled its Sleeping Dogs spin off game Triad Wars and was in the early access stage on Steam for it’s new game SMASH+GRAB, which was very similar.

Adding evidence to this report is the fact that SMASH+GRAB is no longer available for sale on Steam, though there could be another explanation for that seeing as it was an Early Access game.

In addition to those games, the company also worked on Disney Infinity 3.0’s Marvel Battlegrounds playset, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition and Little Big Planet Karting.

The studio, which employed several well-known members of the industry was founded in 2007.

Stay tuned as we’ll update this post when the situation is cleared up. For now, we’re treating this as a rumor.
