Nintendo finally adds YouTube app to Switch

The Nintendo console-handheld hybrid offers the popular video streaming service starting today

Nintendo has finally added a YouTube app to its extremely popular console-handheld hybrid, the Switch.

Fans have been asking for services like an internet browser, Netflix and YouTube since before launch and Nintendo has been slow to deliver.

While the other two services and others like them (with the exception of Hulu) are nowhere to be found, users can finally watch YouTube on the system with a new app, starting today.

According to GameSpot, the free app can be downloaded via the eShop and does not require an online subscription to use.

The app works in docked and handheld mode and users can log in to access all of YouTube’s features.
