The online battle royale game is making its way to the other console after enjoying a long run on PC and Xbox

Sony has announced on its PlayStation Blog that popular online battle royale game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is coming to PlayStation 4 on Dec. 7.

“Today we are thrilled to unveil the exciting announcement that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is officially coming to PlayStation 4!” wrote Joon H. Choi, development project manager for the game, on the Blog post. “Bringing PUBG to the PS4 has been an ambitious project for us, and we are beyond thrilled to finally be sharing this news with the world.”

For those unaware, PUBG is described in the blog post as: “PUBG is a battle-royale shooter where 100 players drop into a map and fight for survival. It’s a game of life or death as you explore and loot the map for weapons and armor. Internet and PlayStation Plus are required to play on PS4. Be the last one standing to achieve the elusive Chicken Dinner – bragging rights included.”

The game will come in several variations, shown below, as written in the blog post.

Additionally, the game will feature some exclusives on PS4, including a Nathan Drake desert outfit from Uncharted and Ellie’s backpack from The Last of Us. Both items are pre-order bonuses along with an avatar and theme.

No word on whether or not the game will feature cross-play with Xbox and/or PC but we’ll keep you updated if information on that becomes available.
