Nintendo’s E3 2019 Direct included news of a sequel to Breath of the Wild, a release date for Animal Crossing New Horizons, Luigi’s Mansion 3 gameplay details and more

Nintendo’s annual E3 Nintendo Direct has concluded for 2019 and it featured a huge announcement that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is getting a full sequel on Nintendo Switch.

Footage and details of Luigi’s Mansion 3, including the introduction of his co-op sidekick Gooigi, footage and a release date for Animal Crossing New Horizions, which is now coming March 20, 2020, and the announcement of Banjo-Kazooie coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate were also featured in the approximately 45 minute presentation.

Nintendo of America’s new head Doug Bowser, who replaced the retired Reggie Fils-Aime recently, was introduced with a cute Bowser animation where Mario’s greatest foe thought he was going to be a part of the E3 2019 Nintendo Direct.

There was also news of Dragon Quest XI Definitive Edition, Dragon Quest characters coming to Smash Bros., Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening remake with a very cute art style, Resident Evil 5 and 6 coming to Switch, a new Contra game and the Contra Anniversary Collection will be available on the eShop today.

A new Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games was announced, No More Heroes III, Panzer Dragoon, Astral Chain, Jim Hensen’s The Dark Crystal, Daemon X Machina, Trials of Mana’s global release and Collection of Mana, Fire Emblem: Three Houses and more were also highlighted.
