It even comes complete with a Nook Family docking station

Nintendo’s upcoming Switch exclusive Animal Crossing: New Horizons is just around the corner and now gamers who plan to buy a Switch to play it can get a special edition system to go with the game.

Nintendo announced a brand new version of the Nintendo Switch Thursday that is themed after the upcoming game.

“A Nintendo Switch system inspired by Animal Crossing: New Horizons is on the way!” the company said in a Facebook post. “With unique Joy-Con controllers, a custom design on the back, and a special Nintendo Switch dock, it’s the perfect way to start your island life.”

The docking station features images of Tom Nook and his sons Timmy and Tommy.

According to Nintendo, the new system, which include 32GB of storage space, will hit store shelves March 13 for the same price as the base model at $299.99. The system does not include New Horizons, which makes sense since it is releasing prior to the game.

Nintendo also announced a “Nintendo Switch Animal Crossing: New Horizons Aloha Edition Carrying Case,” which includes a screen protector and will be available the same day as the new system. No price was mentioned for the carrying case.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be available for Nintendo Switch on March 20, 2020. An exclusive Target special edition of the game includes a 2020 calendar.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons was originally slated to be released during the 2019 holiday season but was delayed in June, according to The Verge. The game was revealed during a September 2018 Nintendo Direct, as reported by Sac City Gamer.
