EA has confirmed the popular game is getting a remaster — here’s when you can play it
Electronic Arts has announced a remastered edition of 2010 racer Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit.
The game’s original developer Criterion Games is teaming up with Stellar Entertainment for the remaster, according to a press release from EA.
The new version of the game, which scored an 89 Metacritic score on PS3 and an 88 on Xbox 360, will feature enhanced visuals, cross-platform asynchronous multiplayer competition via the in-game Autolog system and all the DLC content released for the original version of the game.
The DLC content “delivers an extra six hours of gameplay and more than 30 challenges,” according to the press release.
EA boasts that the original game was awarded “Best Racing Game Award from the Game Critics Awards in 2010 and The British Academy Video Games Award for Multiplayer in 2011.”
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered launches Nov. 6 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. It’ll release on Nov. 13 for Nintendo Switch.
