Here’s everything shown during Sony’s latest State of Play stream, from Final Fantasy XVI to Street Fighter 6

The PlayStation brand is getting in on the so-called not E3 season a bit earlier than others as it presented a brand new State of Play showcase Thursday.

The stream ran for approximately 28 minutes and featured 15 titles with a heavy focus on games that won’t be available until 2023. PlayStation VR 2 was also a fairly big focus with several upcoming titles teased, including the VR-exclusive Horizon VR: Call of the Mountain.

The most notable announcement of the stream was perhaps Final Fantasy XVI. Though it’s not coming to consoles until next year, its first trailer looked pretty impressive.

Other major talking points include the announcement of a Resident Evil 4 remake, a new gameplay trailer for Stray, which is coming July 19 as a free addition to the new PlayStation Plus premium tiers, and the reveal of Street Fighter 6.

To watch a complete replay of the State of Play, check out the video below, via the official PlayStation YouTube channel. There are versions of the video in other languages on the channel as well.

Here’s a full list of everything shown, with links to trailers where available.

For those who may be unfamiliar, E3 was canceled earlier this year, but PlayStation, Xbox and others have scheduled their own events for the summer window that the long-running gaming show would normally occupy.

Those include an Xbox and Bethesda showcase on June 12, Geoff Keighley’s Summer Games Fest on June 9 and a PC gaming show presented by PC Gamer, also on June 12. You can check out a full list here.

So, what did you think of the PlayStation June 2, 2022 State of Play showcase? Was it everything you’d hoped for? Did Sony miss anything you’re itching to play?
